POLICIES & STUDENT CODE OF CONDUCT
Chopper College uses the adult learner theory in the education and development of individuals. Students may expect that the college and all faculty will treat them as adults and as full participants in the educational process.
Chopper College strives to be a community characterized as creative, ‘thinking’, caring, inclusive and active. Such a community requires that its members, having made a choice to join the community, strive to improve themselves, affirm others and actively involve themselves in enhancing the community. These ideals require that we have explicit, clear and high expectations of and for one another. These expectations include:

CONFIRMATION NOTICE
You will receive a confirmation notice via email or phone at least 4 weeks in advance of the beginning of the course.
PREPARATION FOR CLASS
YOU WILL NEED TO PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING FOR YOUR COURSE:
· Steel toe boots or shoe protectors
· Long sleeve work shirt
· Pants (no shorts)
CHOPPER COLLEGE WILL PROVIDE:
· Safety glasses
· Work gloves
· Masks/Welding helmets/Respirators
· Aprons
· Appropriate safety apparel
Chopper College prides itself on creating a safe learning environment and ensuring all students are in an inviting atmosphere. For our instructors to provide a great learning experience we require the following:
· No cell phones in the classroom or workshops
· Absolutely no video, camera, phone, or tape recording in class
· Absolutely no smoking inside our facility-a designated smoking area is available
· Absolutely no drugs or alcohol allowed on or in the facility (If a Chopper College representative suspects that you are under the influence of alcohol or a mind- altering substance you will be asked to leave). We take great pride in providing a safe environment.
· No copying manuals, handouts for distribution (all Chopper College materials are copyrighted and trademarked)
CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS
Due to the need to purchase supplies, equipment, etc. for classes, we require written notice of cancellation at least two weeks in advance of the start date of the class that you’re registered to attend You will receive a full refund, less a 10% processing fee. There are no refunds for less than 2 weeks’ notice of cancellation. No exceptions to the policy.
DISMISSAL OF CLASS
Chopper College has the right to dismiss any student if any of the rules and/or policies set forth by Chopper College are abused and/or the student negatively impacts/disrupts the learning environment. Any dismissal from class will be without refund.
CANCELLATION OF CLASS
Chopper College has the right to cancel any course at any time with given notice to registered students. If a cancellation occurs, a full refund will be issued to students or a credit will be issued to be used for another course or the same course at a different time.
Chopper College has determined maintaining a smaller class size increases the value each student receives. If our minimum enrollment per course is not met within 2 weeks of the course date, we have the option to either cancel that course and issue refunds, or proceed with that course. Chopper College will provide sufficient notice to all registered students
