Transmission boot camp
The Motorcycle Transmission Class at Chopper College delivers hands-on, in-depth training focused on understanding, building, and rebuilding motorcycle transmissions. Students work directly on 4-speed, 5-speed, and 6-speed transmissions, covering both left- and right-side drive configurations. The course explores chain and belt (pulley) drive systems, as well as kickstart and electric start setups, giving students a complete view of how power is transferred from engine to wheel. Emphasis is placed on function, diagnostics, proper assembly, and precision setup, ensuring students graduate with the confidence and skills to service, troubleshoot, and build reliable motorcycle transmissions from the ground up
